We were driving by the City Center in New Berlin last week, and noticed that a temporary ice skating rink had been installed across the street from the public library. What a great way to generate outdoor activity for the community to enjoy this season! We got out of our car and walked over to it. There we noticed that a string of lights had been hung above the rink for lighting night skating and a concession area had been set up in which hot chocolate was being sold.
We also noticed that the decorative sidewalk pots near the rink had their annuals pulled (rightly so) but now were bare for the winter season. This gave us an idea! We had finished our client winter decorations and still had some inventory left so what if we could donate the product and labor to fill some of those ice rink pots….. We called the City and they gave us the green light to go ahead with the install.
Here’s how things turned out! We’re hoping that even though it’s only a few decorated pots, that they will bring a lot of joy to those that see them.
Happy Holidays, All!
